Marc Anthony

 ..FOLLOWING SEAS

Marc Anthony

i’ve seen sunny days
eclipsed by bloody moons
strong men fall to their knees
and weep
at premonitions
of imminent doom

i’ve felt the devil’s hand
rest on my tingling neck
and reached to god
with chattering teeth
as i dodged the jaws of death

i’ve kissed the lips of virgins
and fell for the lies of whores
i’ve had my heart ripped
from my chest
still i kill for the thrill
of love and war
