About Emotionography

When I first registered the Emotionography URL, I was disappointed that the ".com" suffix was taken.  I thought I made the word up back in the early eighties and was surprised it had been taken by a photographer in the UK. But as time goes by, I consider it fate.  I want emotionography to be a '.net" -  a network of artists coming together to create something wonderful.  My sincerest thanks to those who have contributed.

Site Layout

The links at the top are set up as follows:

VISITOR CENTER in the top left hand corner brings you to this page

TABLE OF CONTENTS is a description of each poem and credits the artists/photographers and voice actors.

 If you're on a particular poem, the JERRY BROWNING link will take you to an 'about the author' page.  The EMOTIONOGRAPHY link in the top right takes you to the site's entry (home) page.

Book Layout

The three books are all the poetry in the order they were written. It may not necessarily be best to read them in order at first.  I'd suggest using the Random Poem feature to get a taste for the work and concepts.  Yet, when you go to a particular book, click on it and you'll be directed to a  List of Poems where you can use "Start Here" link at the top of the page which takes you to a random poem in that particular book or browse the list to find a particular poem.

Navigate from poem to poem using the links at the bottom of the pages (<PREV PAGE and NEXT PAGE> or if you like you can continue to click through RANDOM POEMs or return to the TABLE OF CONTENTS.  The link in the top right of the page will take you to the specific list of poems for the book you are in.

Cosmic Expressions (NEW!)

There are random images and quotes from the site on the opening page.  If you click on the Cosmic Expressions link, it will take you to a page where you can click on "New Combo" to change the image/quote combination. 

If you click "Automatic" on the Random Expression page, it'll take you to page where the random image/quote combinations are automatically refreshed every ten, fifteen, or thirty seconds.  From the automatic pages, you can either click back to manual mode or use the link back at the bottom to go to Emotionography's main page. 

I put this on my twenty-two inch monitor in our kitchen and set the browser  to full screen (Microsoft's Internet Explorer - View/Full Screen (F11)) and it looks really good. 

There's also a simple version of it for viewing on a "Phone" that runs well on cell's and smaller monitors.  It runs in automatic mode with a twelve second refresh rate. 

If you line it up (expand/reduce size) and save it, the link will should bring you back in with the page still lined up. If you're using an iPhone or iPad touch, you'll see RE's custom icon if you save the link to your HomeScreen.
