 NAKED DREAMS

Reflections

lady of the lake where are you?
hear my desperate plea
I've searched the world both high and low
for the grail you promised me

I found honor on the ocean
captured beauty's gentle grace
now my queen's grown cold and mean
and the children turn away

so, here I stand, a tired old man
who's lost his stubborn will
recalling vessels made of wood
and sailors made of steel
recalling vessels made of wood
and sailors made of steel

Spring, Texas ‘98
