Spirit of Eve
  JERRY BROWNING

 BROKEN COMPASS

Spirit of Eve

i’ve met a  young lady

so pretty and proud

who lives free and easy

and is fun in a crowd

some call her careless

to other’s she’s wild

but she’s the spirit of eve

with the heart of a child

she can drive a man crazy

with the strut of her stuff

and she’ll win every hand

with a casual bluff

but you won’t have a case

if you take her to trial

‘cause she’s the spirit of eve

with the heart of a child

approach her sincerely

she can be a true friend

if you take her for granted

you’ll be chasin’ the wind

she stole this boy’s heart

with a glance and a smile

‘cause she’s the spirit of ever

with the heart of a child
